We are always looking to add experienced experts to our panel, either as an employee or on an independent basis. You must hold Professional Indemnity Insurance and be registered with the ICO.

Building Surveyors

We require experienced building surveyors (typically RICS or MCIOB) to produce CPR Part 35 compliant reports. Ideally, you will be experienced in expert witness work and you should be familiar with :-

S9, 10 & 11 Landlord and Tenant Act (including fitness for habitation)
S4 Defective Premises Act
Duties & responsibilities of an expert witness
Pricing methodology

On a less frequent basis we instruct Heating Engineers and Structural Engineers. Access to drones, thermal imaging and ability to carry out carbide testing is advantageous.

Environmental Health Experts

We require Chartered Environmental Health Officers who hold the MCIEH (or higher) qualification to produce CrPR compliant reports for s79/82 Statutory Nuisance Prosecutions in the magistrates’ courts.

You should be experienced in housing matters and understand housing legislation (Landlord & Tenant Act, HHSRS etc) and be able to opine on whether conditions in a property Prejudicial to health with a specific focus on damp & mould, vermin and excess cold.

Experience in giving expert testimony in court would be an advantage.
